Biography

Transforming photographs of mundane objects, such as her series on old trucks, into incredibly realistic oil paintings, Suzanne Bonser has been inspired by capturing personal experiences and observations from her travels. Using literary or historical references in the imagery and switching around vantage points and composition into a more exciting viewing experience, her main goal is to convey the place or subject in her art as it appears in memory. Her still life series includes images of fruit overlaid onto pieces of fabric to introduce a level of unexpected depth to the piece.
