Description:

A carved pine three legged table in a bronze finish, ca. 1895-1905. With three carved nudes holding a deeply carved shell aloft, the feet of satyr form, and undertray. The example of likely a card table for a foyer or entrance. The table resided in San Francisco, and according to family, survived the earthquake by being buried in the ground. In our previous sale, the pair of portraits by Mary Curtis Richardson (San Francisco), were descended in the same family. Ht. 37", wd. 27".
