Very rare Blue Jay figurals made for a prominent family in Cincinnati with a Rookwood connection to celebrate a family member's wedding in 1934. Eight were made, these are perhaps trial pieces that did not do well with the glazes pulling apart when fired. Impressed marks include the Rookwood logo, Eight were made to celebrate a wedding in 1934. Impressed marks include the Rookwood logo, XXXIV, October 10th 1934 and the name Conant. Height 10 3/8 inches.

    No crazing but all the glaze colors have pulled away from the clay body. Not Xed but definitely flawed.
