This elliptical relief is handbuilt from ceramic earthenware clay from the live model, employing the additive & subtractive methods of sculpting. It is modeled, textured and painted with ceramic stains and fired to Cone 04 multiple times until desired results. Gold leaf is applied after the firing process. This series can hang upon the wall and no two are alike in form or narrative.
